About Us
We are a San Diego based band who went from making tunes in a bedroom to the studio. We have influences from all over the place with a focus on alternative/hard rock.

" Music has been a part of my whole life. From listening to my dad's metal CD's, to playing french horn in a marching band, to now having my own project with Promised Paradigm, I say music is my third language. When I was a baby, I remember having toy instruments like a small marimba and a toy trombone. I remember the pleasure of hitting things to make sound. As I grew older and started elementary school, I of course left those toys behind. I was part of this program called the "Before School Program" which was meant for kids dealing with a similar situation to mine. I never liked the program as I would spend two hours just playing with toys that quickly became old. This all changed when a flier was handed out about an opportunity of learning an instrument, the recorder. Then, in the same program, I learned the clarinet. Starting in middle school, I played the French horn all through high school while also learning guitar by myself with the help of YouTube. From there, guitar has just been my passion and writing music is my way to escape the stresses of the real world. Now I play bass and sing for Promised Paradigm, a band that my old friend and I created by the shared love of music. "

" Music has always been one of my favorite things in the world since I was little. I grew up listening to all kinds of songs and went through many different phases. When I was in elementary school, I had a strong desire to learn how to produce music. This was due to my love for Skrillex at the time who created crazy electronic music. I grew out of that phase but I never stopped wanting to learn how to produce. I began playing guitar in 9th grade but it wasn't until my second semester in college that I was finally able to make this dream come true. I saw a flier up on campus promoting a music production class and I just knew I had to enroll. The second I learned the basics, I began creating my own songs. Eventually, I decided to bring this new found skill to my friend, Felipe and that is how Promised Paradigm was born. We released our first single, 'Pink Sky' in October of 2020 and while it's been a tough road, I'm proud of what we've created and can't wait to make more. "

" From the day I heard 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' by Green Day, I knew all I wanted to do was be a musician. I didn't know how I was going to do it, but my goal was to make it happen. I chose to put my entire being into music. Despite taking a hiatus from it to pursue a failed career in the United States Marine Corps, I learned through failure that I knew my purpose from the beginning of my life. I've since dedicated my entire being into being the best guitar player and singer that I can be to help my band Promised Paradigm. Funnily enough, I was the most recent member to join the band. I've grown so close to my band mates and now it feels like I've created a family. It's the closest thing I've felt to pursuing the dream I had as a child. Through at times we play to crowds of empty spaces. It doesn't discourage me because of the countless stories told of bands that I love that struggled with the same thing. Currently I'm working on investing more into the band's social media with newer content on a consistent basis. "

" I attribute my wide range of music taste to growing up listening to my dad's mix of 80's heavy metal, 90's gangsta rap, Rock en español, and banda. Since then I have gone through many phases of loving/hating a plethora of genres before finally chilling out and enjoying everything that every corner of the music world has to offer. I got my first MP3 player when I was about 6, loaded with a whopping 4 songs that I blasted in my earphones full volume on repeat everywhere I possibly could. And some time later, my dad brought home Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. From then on, I truly saw my future. Simulating the act of playing Aerosmith's legendary music on a fake instrument inspired me to want to learn guitar, which I soon started to do myself about a year or two later. I was consuming all sorts of music and simultaneously not making much progress on the guitar. One band I discovered during this time was Avenged Sevenfold. And Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan's drumming immediately became second to none. I was enamored. I quickly dropped the guitar in favor of learning the drums with hopes to maybe one day be able to perform truly insane parts just like the Rev. And the rest is history. Being pretty much the only drummer in my town/school, I joined a countless number of bands and music projects in the following years. Some I continue to be proud of. Others not so much. All with their own fair share of happiness and heartbreak. Eventually, I found my way here with Promised Paradigm and never looked back. "
